Kathleen Leone Tasker, 85, of Suffield, OH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2024. She was born in Laurel Dale, WV, on March 21, 1939, to the late Gilbert B. and Margaret E. (Shepherd) Brown.
In April 27, 1957, she married Jimmie D. Tasker Sr. They moved from Maryland to Akron, Ohio, where they began and raised their family. Kathleen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Kathleen truly enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, genealogy and painting. She truly knew how to make a house a home.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, Jim; children, Glenda (Bud) Leidel, Jimmie D. Tasker Jr. (Monika), Wayne (Linda) Tasker, Kathy (Curt) Meekins; grandchildren, Michael, Lisa (Chris), Dennis, Matt (Becky), Eric (Kim), Kris, Shana, and Andy; great grandchildren, Isabelle, Branson, Madison, Emilee, Carter and Aidan; and siblings, Charles, Gilbert, and Roger Brown.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her loving sister-in-law, Lovell Brown.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church Street, Kitzmiller. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11 AM in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Pastor George Tichinel officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
