Kathryn “Kate, Kathy” Giebink, passed away on August 10, 2025 at the age of 90 years old.

Kathryn was born on November 25, 1934 in the town of Waupun, the daughter of Sidney and Minnie Harmsen Frens. On September 14, 1952 she married Calvin Giebink at Netherlands Reformed Church in Waupun where she was a lifelong member.

Kathryn is survived by her four children: Bruce (Lisa) Giebink, Diane (Mike) Skoglind, Joanne Giebink, and Marnie (Mike) Thuecks; five grandchildren: Cameron (Denise) Giebink, Anna Giebink, Rebekah Peppler, Jackie (Derek) Bell, and Zach (Haley) Thuecks; 4 great-grandchildren: Clara Giebink, Hudson and Calvin “Cal” Bell; and William “Will” Thuecks; a sister, Marion Fintelman; and brother-in-law, Jerry (Susan) Giebink.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Giebink; her parents, Sidney and Minnie Frens; brother, Henry Frens; sister-in-law, Cobie Frens; and brother-in-law, Art Fintelman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Slingerland officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the COAH (Come Over and Help) mission society. Their mission is to partner with churches in Eastern Europe to bring glory to God through gospel proclamation and practical ministry.
