Kathryn Jones Obituary

Kathryn Alice Jones, age 84, of Moyock, NC died at her home on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Born on September 7, 1940, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late William F. Scheuerell and Mary Caroline Greiten Scheuerell, she worked as an administrative assistant in the manufacturing industry. Beyond her professional life, Kathryn found joy and companionship at the Currituck Senior Center, where she was a regular attendee. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devout member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Maple, NC.
Kathryn leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Cordova of California, Mary Maxson and husband David of South Dakota, and Susan Russell of North Carolina; her son, Robert Jones and wife Linda of California; and her brother, James Scheuerell of Wisconsin. Kathryn's legacy also includes her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved sister, Jean Sterneman, and her brother, William Scheuerell.
Kathryn's warmth, kindness, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.
The Funeral Mass for Kathryn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at St. Charles Catholic Church, Hartland, Wisconsin. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
