Kathy Lynn Rhodes
Kathy (Sherwood) Rhodes entered into eternal life on Thursday May 8, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 13, 1957 in Canton, IL to the late Richard F. Sherwood and B. JoAnn (Demott) Sherwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Paula, and her parents in law, Russell and Clara Dell Rhodes.
She is survived by her best friend and husband, David Rhodes, three children, Jessica (Jason) Vuylsteke, Joe (Molly) Rhodes, and Jodelle (Kevin) McChesney. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Caleb (Alesha) Loveless, Christopher (Lexi) Loveless, Morgan (Joe) Vuylsteke, Simon Rhodes, and Kevin McChesney. She also has 6 great grandchildren and one on the way, Aubrey, Natalie, Wesley, Josie, Wrenleigh, Carson, and Jaden. And many other family members and friends.
Kathy was a homemaker with a deep love for her family. She also volunteered at the library at Claude Brown Elementary during the 90's. Kathy loved crafts, sewing, Elvis, music, and concerts. She had a sense of humor that drew people in, and her laugh was unforgettable! Her beloved dog, Duke, is going to miss her fiercely as well.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO 63379, 636-528-8244.
Graveside Service will be held on Wed. May 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary and Cemetery Cedar Hill, MO. Mr. Ron McGaskey to officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center c/o the funeral home. Family and Friends may sign the online guestbook @www.mccoyblossomfh.com
