She is survived by her children, Lizzie Holloway, Joann Kirkwood, Dorothy Banks, Arlene Armstrong, Terry Kirkwood and Rickey Kirkwood as well as numerous family members.
Along with her parents Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie James Kirkwood; children, Francis Kirkwood, Willie James Kirkwood and James Kirkwood.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 10 AM until the of service 11 AM at The Healy Chapel. 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506 followed by a burial at Spring Lake Cemetery.
