Kay Amyx beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 26th, 1941, to Walter and Mary Campbell.
Kay married the love of her life, Bill Amyx, on April 4th, 1960. Their marriage was a beautiful, loving partnership, with Bill standing by her side for over six decades. Together, they shared a life full of adventures. She found happiness in the simple moments of life, like sharing meals with her husband,they found comfort and connection in quiet moments spent together lying in bed reflecting on their day.
Raised at her family's dairy farm in Fort Scott Kansas. She was awarded the title of Dairy Bell Princess in 1957. The family has beautiful memories as members of the Church of Christ in Pittsburg KS. Kay was the Co- founder of Calibrated Forms Company. She was a loving housewife and had a passion for family, her heart was always full when surrounded by loved ones. Kay was an incredible cook, often preparing delicious meals that brought everyone together. She enjoyed many years of fellowship with her sorority Beta Sigma Phi. Her talent for scrapbooking was a gift to her family, as she meticulously crafted albums that captured countless memories for generations to come. Some of her other hobbies include playing bridge, bowling, and golfing.
Kay found great joy in spending time with her daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. Weather it was having girls' days, getting nails done, or enjoying Mexican food -her favorite- these moments were very treasured.
Survivors include her husband; children Ron Amyx and wife Elizabeth of Columbus KS, Kim Brown and husband Tracy of Columbus, KS and Tammy Perry of Tulsa OK, and companion Chris Hood of Edmond OK; brother Ronnie Campbell of Sierra Vista AZ; grandchildren Matthew Amyx Rothwell, Justin Amyx, and wife Michelle, Taylor Evans and husband Alex, Laney Brown and Kylee Perry; great-grandchildren Sebastian Rothwell, Amelia Rothwell, Jasper Amyx, Amyx Evans, Blake Evans and Nash Evans.
Kay was proceeded in death by her parents and her brother Gary Campbell.
Memorial Services will be at 11:00 am Thursday April 3, 2025, at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus, KS with Fr, Josh Evans, and family friend C.W. Betz officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the organization of your choice. Friends may drop of memorials to the Bath-Naylor Funeral home 611 S.
