Ronald "Keith" Boaz, born on October 2, 1978 to Ron and Judy Boaz, died suddenly on August 6, 2025. He was husband to Bethany and father to Averie and Brady.

One of Keith's passions was MSU. He started working there as a teenager, following in his father's footsteps. He met his wife as student workers at Hammons Student Center. He left the university after graduation for only one year before a job opened back up at HSC. He started as Associate Director of Hammons Student Center and ended as Executive Director of Entertainment and Athletic Facilities. His work for the university was well known all around the community and beloved by his family because they got to see all the Broadway shows they wanted.

Keith spent the last 18 years devoted to his children. He was a planner and an organizer and he did that for so many adventures for his wife and kids. Experiencing things as a family was his absolute top priority and he would do anything to make it happen. The word no was not something his kids or wife heard very often. Spoiling all three of them was his favorite activity. The pride he had when anyone in his family achieved something was unmatched. Celebrations were his jam.

Keith loved Metallica, driving fast, and singing the words to songs incorrectly to annoy his wife. Above all, he loved and supported his family.

Keith is survived by his mother and father, Ron and Judy Boaz, his wife Bethany and two children Averie and Brady. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life is on Tuesday, August 12 at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Keith Boaz Memorial Scholarship Fund for Springfield Little Theatre. Because his children were passionate about the theatre, he also became passionate for it. A scholarship to help other kids follow their passions in the arts is exactly what Keith would have wanted.
