Keith Carl Charlton, Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the young age of 59.
Keith was born to Eleanor Charlton (Hohrath) and the late John C. Charlton, Sr. on May 29, 1966 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Keith grew up as the second youngest of seven children in a lively household. He was an active member of the Bridesburg community from a young age, where he participated in countless events that he went on to proudly sponsor later in life.
Keith dedicated over 40 years to his craft as a contractor, building hundreds of homes across the neighborhoods of Philadelphia. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence were incomparable, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with-not only through his craftsmanship, but through his kindness, humor, and integrity.
Eventually, Keith built his dream home in Holland, Pennsylvania, from the ground up-a home where he would raise his family and lovingly care for his mother. Within those walls, he created a life filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. His family was his greatest accomplishment and his deepest source of pride.
Keith loved discovering new places to eat, sharing his outlandish stories, and filling every room with laughter. He enjoyed hosting large family parties filled with spirited games, playing cornhole with his boys, and vacationing in warm destinations. But above all, it did not matter what Keith was doing, only that he was surrounded by those he loved.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Diane Charlton (Cross); four children, Ciarra, Kacie, Keith Jr., and Dylan; his mother Eleanor; siblings, John Charlton, Jr., Kenneth Charlton, Deborah Pharo, Eleanor Charlton, Jr.; and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his father, John Sr., and siblings Leslie Charlton and Jacqueline Austin.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, October 16th from 5:00-8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road,
Richboro, PA, and again on Friday, October 17th, from 10:00-11:00am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA. A mass of Christian burial will follow. Interment will take place at Forest Hills Cemetery, 25 Byberry Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. The family kindly requests that services be reserved for adult attendees.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Keith's memory may be made to Bridesburg Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia at https://bgcphila.org/donate, giving back to the community that raised him.
