Keith Monte Obituary

Keith Thomas Monte was called home to heaven on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the age 55.
Keith was born on August 29, 1969 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. He was a son born to Thomas and Shirley (nee Kennedy) Monte. After high school, he went on to attend Siena Heights University and earned his Bachelor's Degree. He worked as an electrical engineer for the automotive industry for 35 years before retiring in May of 2024. Keith was an outdoors man through and through. He grew up on Lake St. Clair knew the ins and outs of the lake like the back of his hand, this is where his love for fishing manifested. Keith enjoyed spending summer holidays with his family at Camp 80 Proof and hunting season at Camp Buckskins. He loved teaching his boys and spending as much time with them as he could. Keith never missed anything they were involved in growing up, from sports to life events. He was so very proud of Thomas and Joseph and his love for them was undeniable. Keith's passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
Keith is survived by his sons, Thomas (Taylor Kayne) Monte and Joseph (Emily O'Malley) Monte; fiancé, Sonya Payne; brother-in-law, Mike Doescher; nephew, Michael (Clair) Doescher; niece, Dana (Steve) Coomes; Camp Buckskin Family; and many extended family and friends. Keith is preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Doescher and parents.
Visitation for Keith will take place on Monday, June 23, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with an instate time of 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 62657 North Avenue, Ray. Burial will be immediately following the funeral service at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the family of Keith in c/o Thomas or Joseph Monte.
