Kelsie L. De La Paz, 28, of Kingsville, Texas passed away on July 2, 2025, in her hometown.
She was born on June 6, 1997, in Kingsville, Texas.
Kelsie was full of life, with a warm sense of humor and a quick wit that could brighten the mood of any room. She had a playful, spirited personality and a natural ability to make people laugh, often without trying.
Though small in stature, Kelsie carried a strong and steady presence. She was determined, independent, and unafraid to be herself.
She was a devoted mother, and her love for her child was at the center of her life. She was also a beautiful, amazing daughter, sister, and friend-thoughtful, strong, and deeply loved by those closest to her. Kelsie will be remembered for her laughter, her resilience, and the unique light she brought into the world.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Paul Sanchez; and one nephew, Zayden De La Paz.
Kelsie leaves behind Joe Longoria, along with their son, Zaydren Longoria of Kingsville; mother, Jennifer Gonzalez of Kingsville; father, George De La Paz of Kingsville; step-mother, Cassandra Lara; six brothers, Zachery De La Paz, George De La Paz Jr., Julian De La Paz, Jayden De La Paz, J.D. Santana, and Joshua De La Paz; two sisters, Jaylean Qualls, and Ariel De La Paz; one step-sister, Angie Aguilar; grandmother, Ginny Sanchez; grandparents, Leonel (Gloria) De la Paz; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Paulson officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
