Mr. Kenneth Dale "Ken" Howell, also known as "Mario", passed away July 18, 2025, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Ken grew up in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late James and Irene Magatha. After graduating from high school, Ken moved from Ohio to Largo, Florida where he lived for several yeas before moving to East Point, then Zebulon and finally settling in Thomaston. He was a forklift operator for many years and for the last three years, Ken worked in the produce department at Freshway Market in Zebulon. He enjoyed fishing and playing pool. Ken was a hero to his son, Jeremy, and a good man who loved everyone.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Matthews and brother, Leonard.
He is survived by his children: Jeremy Howell (Amanda), Daniel Kulwicki (Melinda) and Serena Newman (Joann); grandchildren: Nathanial Howell, McKenzie Howell, Shylah Howell, Ellie Howell, Austin Matthews, Ayden Matthews, Cody Kulwicki, Trinity Kulwicki, Samantha Newman and Abbey Newman; brothers: Ronnie Holtgreven (Michelle) and David Howell (Sandy); many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. A service celebrating Ken's life will follow at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with his grandson, Nathanial Howell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses. ***Click here to watch the service for Ken held on Sunday, July 20, at 3 p.m.***
