Kenneth Cross Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Cross was born June 13, 1963 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Cairo, Illinois to Mollie Cross and Eugene Eurales. Kenneth transitioned this life on April 16, 2025 in Carbondale, Illinois. He attended and graduated from Cairo public schools. His work experience span from simple lawn work, which he enjoyed, to custodian at Simpson Drug Store, Cairo Public Library, Community Health, Spirit House(cashier), Meridian School District and Bunge. Early years afforded Kenny doing Bible Study and Baby sitting. He loved inspiring and teaching kids. Sometimes his quiet demeanor allowed for a really good conversation. He was a fan of R & B Music(Old School). Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters(Francine Long and Phyllis Howard), 2 brothers(Arnold Vaughn and Dwight Vaughn), a very special dear friend, Mrs. Dorothy Price. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: 7 Sisters - Jessica Cross of Cairo, Illinois, Jenola Cross of Oblong, Illinois, Della Woodson, Carla (Michael) Thomas of Cairo, Illinois, Rhonda (Joey) Smith of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Maria Moss of Mounds, Illinois and Nadia Eurales of West Frankfort, Illinois. 8 Brothers - Derek (Retha) Eurales, Willie (Anita) Long, Victor Eurales of Cairo, Illinois, Duane Cross of Paducah, Kentucky, Duke Cross of Bowie, Maryland, Eugene Eurales of Indianapolis, Indiana, Leonard Eurales of Texas, Swazy (Pam) Vaughn of Murphysboro, Illinois Sharing and cherishing his memories in their hearts, Angela and Malia Mitchell, and a very special nephew, Dray. And a host of other family members and friends. Kenny will be sadly missed. Graveside Services for Kenneth Cross will be held on Tuesday April 29, 2025 at Green Lawn Memorial Garden in Villa Ridge, Illinois at 12:00pm with Bishop Derek Eurales, officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather in the funeral home parking lot at 11:30 am to process with the family to the cemetery.
