Kenneth Larson Obituary

Kenneth Lee Larson Jr., 70, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 in his home.

He was born on September 30, 1955 in Kingsford, MI, the son Kenneth and Kathleen (Schuirmann) Larson Sr.

Kenny was a builder in every sense of the word. Give him a house and he would see not what it was, but what it could become. His creativity didn't stop at the front door. Kenny became an artist of steel and chrome, designing one of a kind cars that turned heads and sparked conversations wherever he went. He preferred imagination and the thrill of bringing something entirely new to life. If there was a can of foam nearby, there was no limit to what he could mold, he had a way of shaping raw materials into something useful, sometimes humorous, always impressive. Beyond his talents, Kenny was truly one of a kind. He had a deep love for his family and friends, who meant everything to him and were the heart behind all he did. He found joy in the simple things – a cold coca cola, a good piece of fried chicken, a trip to Menards, and his fascination with Aliens. These interests were just part of what made him uniquely Kenny. His legacy lives on in every space transformed, every car created and every laugh shared. Kenny will be remembered not only for his creations but for the love, curiosity and individuality he brought into the lives of all who knew him.

Survivors include his children, Jonathan (Stephanie) Bookman of Maine, Mary Blair, Shane Larson and Kyris Larson all of Beloit, WI; special friend, Nancy Larson; grandchildren, Dakota (Maria) Taber of Sun Prairie, WI, Jeremiah Darwin of Beloit, WI, Savana Larson of Maine, Willow Bookman of Maine, and Elias Larson of Rockford, IL; brother, Richard (Joanne) Larson of Beloit, WI; sisters, Linda Meade and Chris (Mike) Rousseau both of Beloit, WI; brothers-in-law, Tom Leinen, Amos Hummell Sr., Jerry Rose, Donald Phillips Jr., and Steven Phillips; sisters-in-law, Denise Larson, Connie Alf, Cathy Phillips, and Donna Williams; many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kenny was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Kathleen Larson; brother, Randy Larson; sisters, Jody Rose, Marlene Leinen, and Laura Hummell; son, Dain Larson; special mother and father-in-law, Mary Lou and Donald Phillips.

A Funeral Service for Kenny will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
