Kent Marsden Obituary

Kent Marsden passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 78 in Avon, Ohio. Born on September 19,1946, in his beloved England, he lived a vibrant life marked by his dedication to family, his career, and his passions.
Kent was a proud alumnus of Ellet High School and furthered his education at The University of Akron where he played and lettered in soccer for the Zips. He served in the Army in the 82nd Airborne bringing dedication and resilience to his brief military tenure. Professionally, Kent spent the majority of his career at The University of Akron, where he made significant contributions in the Department of Development and The College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering.
An avid sports enthusiast, Kent was known for his prowess on the soccer field and later enjoyed golf. His love for woodworking and watching Ohio State football also filled his leisure time, bringing him much joy.
Kent was preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty years, Pam (Slee) and his parents, Sarah and Charles. He is survived by his son, Andrew, daughter-in-law Sarah, and grandchildren Tess and Karina; his daughter, Ann (Miller), son-in-law Mark, and grandchildren Emma and Riley, who will miss him dearly. Also survived by many loving and caring extended family.
