Raised in Whitestone, NY and a proud resident of Wantagh for 30 years.
Preceded in death by his parents Helen and Michael Doherty, and mother-in-law Caroline Caifa.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Caroline, and his adoring sister Kathleen Mazzo. He was a loving brother-in-law to Diane & Michael Rudman, John Caifa, Michael and Patricia Caifa, and the late Steven Mazzo and Robert Gonzalez.
He was a loving uncle to Colleen (Richard), Megan (Manny), Liam, Karin, Michael, Alison (Timothy), Patrick, great uncle to Colin and Gianni, and friend to many including the late Patrick Kammerer, and loved by many cousins near and far.
Kevin had an enormous heart and terrific sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and clever. Kevin had a strong work ethic, starting at a young age working at McDonald's, established his own soda system business, but was most proud of his years working as an Assistant Chief Engineer at the NY Marriott Marquis.
He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his family and friends. He truly loved each of them – and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be dearly missed.
