Kimball Spencer Dumont, 80, of Chateaugay, NY died on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Tupper Lake Center.
Born on March 8, 1945 in Chateaugay, NY, he was the son of Kimball and Edna (Malark) Dumont.
After graduating from Chateaugay Central School, he was drafted into the Army in 1965 and was sent to Vietnam where was injured and discharged in 1967 with a Purple Heart.
Spencer worked as an insurance broker for Farm Family for several years and owned his own business.
Spencer was a kind, loving person who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and riding his 4-wheeler. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time at his camp on Upper Chateaugay Lake. He belonged to Johnston Hunting Club and was a member of the Frontier Masonic Lodge #517 and the Chateaugay American Legion.
In his first marriage, he had two children, Scott Dumont of Frankston, Texas and Jennifer Dumont Beebe (Doug) of West Chazy, NY. He then married Linda (Beach) Dumont on August 4, 2007. He has three step-sons, Brian (Gloria) Beach, Todd (Suzie) Beach and Scott (Jane) Beach. He was also blessed with several grandchildren, Owen and Seth Beebe, Ronnie Marie Dumont, Ryan and Tyler Beach, Katie (Beach) Lyon, Alexis (Beach) O'Conner, Lindsay, Logan and Franklin Beach; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ava, Cody, Kase, Kormick, Maisy and Ember; two brothers-in-law, Harry (Bonnie) Hutchins and Al (Sandy) Hutchins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Kimball and Edna Dumont and his brothers, Ronald and Mark Dumont.
Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Friday, June 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A memorial service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m.
Burial will take place at Eastside Cemetery.
