Kimberly Lynn Matney 56, of Princeton, WV, passed away at her home Sunday, June 29, 2025.
Kimberly was born September 30, 1968 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Wayne and Helen Lester Matney.
In addition to her parents, Wayne and Helen Matney, Kimberly was preceded in death by one grandson, James Dean Mills; three brothers, Charlie Blankenship, Johnny Wayne Matney and Gene Blankenship.
Survivors include three children, Carolyn Mills of Princeton, WV, James A. Mills of Big Sandy, WV and Natashia Janes of Oakvale, WV; three grandchildren, Carl Mullins of Kershaw, NC, Leland Owens of Iaeger, WV and James Matney of Wheeling, WV; three brothers, Ronnie Matney and Sylvia of Panther, Wayne Mounts and Amy of Hanover, WV and Troy Blankenship of Roderfield; six sisters, Diane Stevens and Virgil of Roderfield, Michelle Roberts and Erica of Kershaw, SC, Phyllis Collins and James of Isaban, Mary Keene of North Carolina, Maxine Collins of Marion, VA and Susie Roberts of Kentucky.
Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV, Thursday morning July 10, 2025 from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 o'clock.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 1 o'clock with Pastor Johnny Gail Pennington officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Burial will follow in the Dewey Matney Cemetery at Trace Fork near Panther, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger is assisting the family.
