Kimberly Ann (Harkonen) Pancost, 60, of Battle Creek, Mich. passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, after a long illness. She was born in Livonia, MI, on October 1, 1964, to Ronald and Maryann (Garreffa) Harkonen.
Kim attended Springfield High School and Lakeview High School, graduating in 1983. She worked in retail sales and management for many years and in her spare time enjoyed crafting, shopping and going to the casino before her health started to fade. Kim also loved animals, especially her dogs and traveling.
Kim married Paul A. Pancost in 1991, and they spent 34 years together. The couple fostered for a few years and eventually adopted 4 children, Vincent, Sabrina, Camryn and Zach.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; children; brother, Robert Harkonen of the Traverse City area; two nieces, Kristin Jordan of Athens, MI, and Brooke Harkonen of Battle Creek; an aunt and uncle in the Detroit area and two cousins.
Per Kim's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no memorial services are planned.
