I served on the diocesan Evangelism Committee with Knute in the 1990's and also knew him through other diocesan ministries. He was a faithful Christian who showed forth the love of Jesus to all that he met. Knute was a man of great integrity, intelligence, and kindness. His passing leaves a Knute-shaped hole in the world that no one else can fill. He is greatly missed. I give thanks for hisshining life.

I worked with Knute at Sikorsky Aircraft for many years. He was a brilliant engineer, and he contributed immensely to the safety and ease of handling (his specialty) of aircraft we designed and built. His exploring mind was coupled with an amazing sense of humanity, humor and warmth, so that Knute´s ready smile greeted me at every meeting with him. I will miss him, and want to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to his family. RIP, Knute.
