Kolton Griffith Obituary

Kolton Griffith, lifelong Phillips County resident, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the age of 27.
Kolton was born on September 9, 1997, in Phillipsburg, to Dana Allen. His mother married Toby Griffith in 2001 and was adopted by Toby later that same year. He spent his early years in Glade before moving with his family to a farm near Phillipsburg at age 14-a place where his love for the outdoors and rural life truly flourished.
A passionate outdoorsman, Kolton found joy in hunting with his dad, sister, and uncle in Smith County. He was an avid enthusiast of shooting sports and loved sharing his knowledge with others, organizing lively gatherings for paintball, cowboy fast draw, or just an afternoon at the range.
Kolton was also a whiz in the kitchen. He had a great time watching cooking videos to learn a new technique or get a recipe. He would whip up a meal that was phenomenal for anyone needing a laugh and a full belly. If you were lucky to have a meal or baked good made by him, you would look forward to the next with anticipation.
Kolton was humorous, generous, loving, loyal, and ornery. Anyone who knew him would know the glint in those blue eyes and that smirk right before he did something hilariously ornery. He was good for a long discussion or swapping funny life stories.
Kolton loved trucking over the road. It was hard work, but he enjoyed seeing our nation from all four corners. He traveled to many beautiful places and loved taking photos to share with his friends and family.
He is survived by his father, Toby Griffith of Phillipsburg, mother Dana Dickerson (David) of Topeka, sister Amie Gibson of Derby, brother by strong spiritual bond Jake McClelland of Phillipsburg, nephews Cooper Gibson of Derby and Maverick Griffith of Phillipsburg, paternal grandmother Ruth Griffith of Phillipsburg, three step-siblings Kim Griffith, Zachary Griffith, and Brian Dickerson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Raymond Griffith and both maternal grandparents.
Kolton's laughter, kindness, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Cremation was planned. A private family service will be held at a later date.
