Krista Rae (Dell) MacArthur, age 58, of Traverse City, Michigan, died on July 28, 2025, in St. Ignace, Michigan. She was born on August 8, 1966, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Donald and Jacqueline (Thibault) Dell. Krista grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault High School with the Class of 1985. She met Brian MacArthur on her 18th birthday, and just thirteen months later, they were married on November 2, 1985, at St. James Episcopal Church in Sault Ste. Marie. Together, they built a loving family and made their home in the Sault until 1997, when they moved to Traverse City, Michigan. Krista had a passion for collecting snow globes and dolphin figurines and loved spending time on the beach, especially at her parents' home on Lake Michigan in St. Ignace, her favorite place to be. She enjoyed camping with her family, traveling (especially to warmer places), and, above all, treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, whether they were traveling together or gathered at her home swimming in her pool. Krista is survived by her husband, Brian; daughters, Lindsey (Josh) Petersen and Jessica (significant other, Jason Brown) MacArthur; son, DJ MacArthur; grandchildren, Brandon and Nathan Petersen; brothers, David Dell, Bill (Phyllis) Dell and Kevin Dell; father-in-law, Donald MacArthur; brother-in-law, David (Michelle) MacArthur; and sisters-in-law, Francine Mitchell and Karlene (Mike) Mills. Krista was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Jacqueline; mother-in-law, Sally MacArthur; brother-in-law, Clarence Mitchell; and niece, Brittaniee Packer. No services will be held at this time. Family Life Funeral Homes – St. Ignace assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be left to the family at www.familylifefh.com.
