Kurtis Thompson

1971-2025

Kurt Passed away in his home in West Valley, Utah, on July 11, 2025.

He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, strength, and unforgettable memories.

Kurt is survived by his mother, Luana (Russ); his father, Ron(Judy), his siblings, Lourie, Bob(Angie), Julie(Greg), Tiffany(Jeremy), and Brittany(David), his daughter, Lindsay (Holdon) and their children Rayclin, Roper and Ryder.

He is proceeded in death by his brother, Brian Hal Thompson.

Kurt was born in Provo, Utah, November 19, 1971 and was raised in Magna, Utah.

He attended Cyprus High School where he was a talented athlete. Taking multiple championships in both wrestling and football.

Kurt was the life of every party. With quick wit and an endless supply of jokes or made-up songs. He had a gift for lifting the spirits of everyone around him. If you were upset, it was never too long until he had you laughing. He loved everyone and made friends everywhere he went. Including several friends who stood by his side from beginning to end.

Kurt eventually made his way to Arizona, where he built a solid career in construction, with a long and steady run at windows and doors. He was highly skilled, extremely hardworking and always up for a new challenge.

During his years in Arizona, he shared his life with Julie Jones and her daughter Brandy. Two people that held special memories to him.

Kurt loved the outdoors and especially cherished time spent camping in his favorite spot.

A place his family will continue to return and hold onto his memory as well as the peace he found there.

Though he carried his own struggles, Kurt touched many lives with his kindness, humor, and heart. He was a deeply loved son, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be missed beyond words.

We believe he is finally at peace, and we will carry his memory of love always.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Peel Funeral Home in Magna, Utah on Saturday, July 26th from 2pm-4pm.
