LaDean Carson Obituary

Bellevue ~ Myrle “LaDean” Carson, 79, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, June 24th, 2025 in Decatur.

Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27th, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Cody Henson, Josh Hartsell, Nicholas Wade, Joe Phipps, Vincent Titus, and Max Smith.

LaDean was born on February 16, 1946 to John Sherman and Christine (Smith) Tippie in Electra, Texas. She obtained her Associate's degree in Science and pursued a career as a respiratory therapist, contributing significantly to the well-being of her patients. LaDean was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Christine Tippie; her grandparents, John and Ora Mayhew Tippie; and her sister, Shirley Norris.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, John Phipps, Sheila Carson, Christy Hartsell and husband Mike all of Bridgeport, Jerry Phipps of Belton, and Joe Phipps and wife Donna of Belton; her grandchildren, Heather and Hailie Phipps, Josh Hartsell, Jessica Henson, Nicholas Wade, and Olivia Carson; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
