LaDell Colledge
March 9th, 1938 - July 4th, 2025
Dad passed away into the loving arms of all those who have gone before him & his Heavenly Father on July 4th, 2025. What a joyous reunion he must have had.
Born March 9th, 1938 to Joseph M. Colledge & Jennie Hardman in American Fork, Utah. He grew up in lower Lehi, down by the Jordan River, where he worked the family farm and had many great adventures.
He loved fishing, camping & hunting, especially in the West Canyon area where he owned property.
When he graduated, he joined the army, where he received special awards. When he was discharged, he moved to Las Vegas where he was a hod tender for brick masons. That is where he met his wife Sandi & had 2 children and was later divorced.
He then married Maureen Rowley Taylor & gained a very special to him step daughter Cherlynn, & was so proud of her and her accomplishments. He was later divorced.
In 1993 he married Sue Henrie. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple in 2001. They lived in Loma, Colorado on her families' farm until her passing in 2015.
He stayed there until the farm was sold, when he moved to Sigurd, Utah, where he spent the remainder of his days taking care of his garden, yard & weaving scarves and hot pads to take up his time.
He is survived by his daughter, Leah White (Vaun), step daughter Cherlynn Taylor, brother Bill Moffett (Verlene), Gaylan Colledge (Shawn), brother in-law Steve Henrie, 9 grandchildren and many more great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue, parents Joseph Colledge and Jennie Hardman, son Kris Colledge, sister Gwen Evans and great grandson TJ Aitken.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be at Elmwood Cemetery, 1175 17¼ Rd, Fruita, Colorado, on Monday, July 14th, 2025 at 3:00pm under the direction of Brown's Funeral Services of Grand Junction, Colorado.
