LaDonna Stallings, 91, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Wabash Senior Living & Rehabilitation in Carmi, Illinois.

LaDonna was born on July 9, 1933 in Fairfield, Illinois to Earl and Elsie (Snethen) Rankin.

She was united in marriage to Paul M. Stallings on February 9, 1952 in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2013.

Known to many as "Sis," LaDonna enjoyed planting flowers, watching westerns and gameshows, sitting on the back porch, and spending time with her family. LaDonna retired from Airtex, after working over 40 years for the company.

Survivors include a son- Brad Stallings and wife Jean of Fairfield, daughter- Gerry (Stallings) O'Brien and husband Dennis of Herrin, granddaughter Alison (Stallings) Brooks and husband Jimmy of Fairfield, granddaughter Erin (O'Brien) Monchino and husband Jason of Herrin, great grandchildren- Zack Brooks, Zayden Brooks, and Lily Monchino, and sister Mary (Rankin) Upton of Enfield. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather- Burl Henson, husband- Paul Stallings, sister- Earlene (Rankin) Spitzner, and other close family members and friends.

Graveside services for LaDonna D. Stallings will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, Illinois with Brother Ernie Lewis officiating. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests any donations be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, Fairfield Public Library, or Fairfield Park District.
