Lance Pickett Harrison, age 52, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Lance was born in Hazlehurst on October 25, 1972 and was a graduate of Jeff Davis High School. He loved his family, especially his mom and daughter. He was a workaholic and truly enjoyed his job at the Hyundai Motor Group Meta Plant where he was a supervisor. He was a kindhearted, generous and sweet person who lived to help others and was Catholic by faith. He enjoyed playing golf, was an avid UGA football fan, and had an infectious love for animals. He was preceded in death by his father, James Pickett Harrison; sister, Kathleen Harrison, and a nephew, Chance Harper.
Survivors include his daughter, Sidney Harrison of Hazlehurst; mother, Mary Harrison of Hazlehurst; sister, Teresa (Warren) Coleman of Hazlehurst; nieces, Kayla Harper of Hazlehurst, Morgan (Weston) Powell of Hazlehurst and Macy Coleman of Savannah. Three great nephews also survive.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Volunteers of Hazlehurst Animal Shelter 52 J.A. Yawn Rd. Hazlehurst, GA 31539.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
