La Nere Williams, born on September 4, 1936, in Dawson, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, in Canton, Georgia. A beloved figure to many, she will be profoundly missed for her warmth, kindness, and devotion to family and friends.
La Nere grew up in Texas, a state she cherished deeply. Although she spent her final years in the beautiful landscapes of Georgia, she always considered herself a true Texan at heart. A Waco native, she had an immense love for Austin and all the vibrant experiences it offered.
Her personality radiated joy, and she is remembered most for her unwavering love for her family, particularly her son, Vincent Williams, and his wife, Kim. Additionally, she cherished her role as a grandmother to George Castleton Williams, who brought her endless pride and joy. La Nere's bond with her brother, Michael Earl Cleveland, and his wife, Laurie Cleveland, further enriched her life with love and companionship.
An avid lover of beautiful things, Lanere enjoyed exploring genealogy and history, often delving into her family's past. Her passion extended into frequent games of Mahjong, where laughter and camaraderie filled the air. Known for her delightful smile and talented cooking, La Nere found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, and her appreciation for delicious food was evident to all who gathered around her table.
La Nere was predeceased by her late husband, Bobby Eugene Williams of Waco, who held a special place in her heart. Their love story was one that inspired those around them, showcasing a bond that transcended time.
In honoring La Nere's life, a graveside service will be held at Waco Memorial Park in Robinson, Texas, on June 17, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM. The service will be a reflection of her vibrant spirit, surrounded by family and friends who were touched by her love and grace.
As we remember La Nere Williams, we celebrate a life dedicated to family, friendship, and faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure through the generations she so adored.
