LARRY J. KUEHNER
Larry J. Kuehner, 81, Auxvasse, MO was called from his earthly home near Hatton, MO to his heavenly home on Tuesday July 8, 2025, following six months of rapidly declining health.
Born on July 22, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, Larry was the son of Luke L. and Helen M. (Stropes) Kuehner. He married Janice Hall Kuehner on August 28, 1964, and they remained together for nearly 61 years.
Larry’s legacy is cherished by his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Annette Kuehner Otto, and her husband, Russ Otto, of Corinth, Texas; his son, John L. Kuehner, of Hatton, Missouri; his brother, Richard W. Kuehner, and his wife, Kathy, of Warrensburg, Missouri; and three grandchildren: Andrew C. Otto and his wife, Taylor, of Justin, Texas; Marian Otto of Corinth, Texas; and John C. Kuehner of Hatton/Auxvasse.
Throughout his life, Larry owned and operated his own farm, viewing it as a stewardship of the land bestowed upon him by God. He found great joy in working outdoors and was also eager to acquire new skills. Larry was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbia, Missouri, serving on various committees and boards. He held the positions of president and board member for both the Callaway County Farm Bureau and the North Callaway Fire Protection District. He cherished the companionship of his family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbia, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbia, MO. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Hatton, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund or to the Trinity Lutheran Church, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
