Larry D. Miller, 73, of Homeworth passed away on October 29th after a short fight with cancer. He was born on October 27, 1952 in Alliance to Robert and Colleen (Davies) Miller and lived in Sebring and Homeworth his whole life. He was a 1972 graduate of West Branch High School where he played football.
He leaves behind his wife of 44 years Pamela (Wagner) Miller whom he married on September 27, 1981 on his in-laws 28th wedding anniversary. He also leaves behind his two children, Taryn (Andy) Lowe and Logan Miller. Other survivors are his father-in-law Ron Wagner; his sister Bonnie Rice; his brothers-in-law Randy (Melanie) Wagner and Andy (Cathy) Wagner; his sister-in-law Amy (Lenny) Niederhiser; nieces Rachel (Aaron) Gamble, Brynn Guist, Karla Owens; nephews Chad (Christina) Gimmi, Tyler and Cory Wagner and Troy Rice; great-nephews Scott and Grady Gamble and Gio Gimmi. He was also close to Pam's aunts Carol Ringer and Eleanor Carver. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Elaine Wagner, sister Joyce Schrimi, brother-in-law David Rice and niece Amee Rice.
Larry loved to talk about his first jobs working on the Oyster and Harlan dairy farms. After high school he started at Transue and Williams stamping plant, and then American Steel and he retired from Ventra in Salem. Larry was a member of Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church where he helped with many dinners and was a former member of the Homeworth Lions Club. In his younger days he enjoyed fishing, bow hunting and was excellent at shooting archery at Westville Country Club.
Per his request Larry is being cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8th 11:00 AM at Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church at 4306 Homeworth Road, Homeworth with Rev. William Saunders officiating. A time of visitation will take place the hour prior to the service at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church, PO Box 153, Homeworth, OH 44634, any animal shelter or humane society of the donors choosing. Friends and family may sign the guest register and send condolences online at www.grfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel (330) 938-2526.
