Larry David Moan, age 71, was born on June 4, 1953, to Morris and Audrey (Bakken) Moan. He grew up on a farm north of McIntosh, attending Trinity Lutheran Church. Larry graduated from McIntosh-Winger High School in 1971 and later from the Association Free Lutheran Bible School in Plymouth, MN in 1973. For many years he enjoyed the warmer climate of Arizona, before moving back to the home farm in 2019. Larry made it a practice to sign his letters as “a believer in Jesus.” He passed away on April 23 at the Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by four siblings: Linda (Lyndon) Korhonen of South Haven, MN; Judy (Peter) Franz of Baxter, MN; Steven (Jennifer) Moan of McIntosh, MN; Jerry (Rebecca) Moan of Fosston, MN; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held. The family is grateful to all who prayed for Larry and to the Lord for His faithfulness to him.
