Laura Rose Recker, age 33 of New London, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Laura was born on October 12, 1991 in Appleton to David and Nancy (Thibodeau) Recker.

The winds of your personality surrounded a calm spirit you strived to achieve. Your presence was never subtle and your love never small. Your passion for family and friends was a cornerstone at all gatherings and affairs. Your emotions and fortitude in personal beliefs may have been viewed by others as unrelenting stubbornness, but we know, that in your heart, you were following paths and missions true to your being. Laura, you were always comfortable and confident in whom you were, regardless of company or environment. You welcomed everyone into your world wholeheartedly and without question. You championed and cheered your family like no other, regardless of the accomplishments or struggles. You spoke with tremendous pride about your father, mother, brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Your willingness to explore and experience life created chance meetings with people whose lives will be forever changed thanks to you being there. At times, you may have struggled to find your spot in this world, but you always found your place with family. Your love of family, tenacity for selflessness, and courage to fight for internal peace will forever live in our hearts and actions. The winds are calming and the peace within your visceral self will continue to live through family and friends. We will forever miss you!

Laura Rose, you have found peace.

Laura loved attending concerts, camping at Bear Lake and spending time with her dog Reuben.

Laura is survived by her parents, David and Nancy Recker; other relatives; close friends and her dog, Reuben.
