Laurence F. Dowdall, 75, of Canton, Ohio, passed away June 29, 2025, following the loss of his beloved wife, Karen. He was born on January 7, 1950 in Jamestown, New York to the late Francis and Cecilia Dowdall (Pernick). Prior to moving to Canton, Ohio in 2021, Larry and his wife lived in Jamestown, New York.
Larry was devoted to his family, and worked for many years to provide them with a happy life. He was a hard working and dedicated husband and father. He loved to travel, and often would visit historical sites and museums. He enjoyed reading all genres of books, but had a love of science-fiction. Larry's quick wit and dry humor will always be remembered by anyone who knew him. Even up until his passing, Larry's love was unwavering towards his daughter Sara Lee and his wife Karen. They meant the absolute world to him, and he will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Karen Lee Dowdall.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Sara Lee Dowdall; several cousins in Pennsylvania; and extended family in Ireland.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
