Laurent Gagnon Obituary

Laurent "Larry" Gagnon, age 75, of Litchfield passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Beacon Health of Kalamazoo. He was born August 15, 1949, in Timmins, Ontario to Ernest and Rose (Theroux) Gagnon. He married Oaklee (Noblit) on August 25, 1984, and she survives.
Larry was very active in the Litchfield community as a volunteer at the Litchfield Historical Society, member of the Litchfield Rotary Club and Big 9 Sportsman Club. He took great pride in volunteering at the Litchfield Old Village Cemetery project. When he wintered in Florida, he also volunteered at the Pioneer Museum in Dade City, FL, and was a well-known volunteer "Santa" for children at schools, libraries, and community events. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing hockey, and later was an avid gardener and woodworker. Larry was a successful businessman in sales and was dedicated to providing for his family. Above all, he treated everyone he met with respect and was always generous with his time. Whether it was fixing or building something, he was always ready to lend a hand.
Surviving besides his wife, Oaklee, is two sons, Ryan (Alaina) Gagnon of Holly, MI, and Gabriel Gagnon of Brighton; grandchildren, Tyler Matteson and Alexa, Graham, and Phebe Gagnon; brother, Joe Gagnon of White Lake, MI; and nieces and nephews, Shawn, Mark, Andrew and Jenny Gagnon, Megan Hamlin and Hollie Sedlak
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Larry Gagnon will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Litchfield with Pastor Rachel Labram officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
