LaVerne Aubert-Olsen Obituary

LaVerne A. Aubert-Olsen, 95 of Marinette passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the Renaissance. She was born on April 8, 1930, to the late Isaac and Agnes (Paul) Laundree in Menominee. She graduated from Menominee High School in 1948 and went on to work at Unit Structures for a few years. She later worked over 30 years at 1st National Bank, retiring in 1989. On October 21, 1949, LaVerne married Erwin Aubert; he preceded her in death on May 21, 1988. She later married Lyle J. Olsen on September 9, 1995; he preceded her in death on May 15, 2020. She was a member of Resurrection Parish, the VFW, and the BAMC Auxiliary. LaVerne enjoyed flowers, reading, baking, and getting her hair done each week, without fail. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and brought everyone in and loved them like her own and was very generous in all aspects of her life. She loved to entertain and was very social, hosting many events in her home.
LaVerne is survived by her son, Mark (Sandra "Freddie") Aubert of Wallace; daughter, Linda Sakovitz of Menominee; grandchildren: Zak (Jessica) Aubert of Wallace, Seth (Jennifer) Sakovitz of Olathe, KS, Luke (Amber) Sakovitz of Sheboygan, Amara (Travis) Machalk of Cedarburg, and Micah (Kristi) Aubert of Wallace; great grandchildren: Liam, Vivian, and Hunter Sakovitz, Spencer, Sophie, and Sawyer Sakovitz, Scarlet and Oliver Machalk, and Alarik Aubert; five step children; and many step grand and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, Erwin and Lyle, she was preceded in death by a son in law, Rick Sakovitz; brother, Harris Laundree, and infant sister, Mary.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Thursday, July 24th from 9:30-11am. Funeral Services will be held at 11am with Fr. Zackery Mazurek officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
