It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the peaceful passing of Lavonne Bessie (Musick) Blunck on April 13, 2025. Lavonne was born December 1, 1937 in Plainview Nebraska.
Lavonnes journey was one deeply rooted in family, faith, and Cubs baseball. First born to Covell and Vivian (Ober) Musick, she grew up on a farm just outside of Plainview where she loved riding her horse and playing with her pet raccoon. Lavonne attended rural school and took the teaching track offered for graduation. While still in school she met the love of her life, her late husband Donald(Don) Blunck. The couple delayed getting married for one year after she graduated from school so that Lavonne could teach at the country school. Teaching was one of Lavonne's proudest accomplishments.
Family was everything to Lavonne. She and Don raised four boys, Dan (Kathy), Rod (Julie), Greg (Marilyn), and Jeff (Cindy). She was the most loving and supportive Grandmother to Stacie, Kelsey, Michael, Marcus, Megan, Emily, Benjamin, and Cooper and Great Grandmother to Covell and Cora. Lavonne enjoyed spending time with them and attending as many of their events as she possibly could!
Lavonne is survived by her brother Ron (Paula) Musick, her brother-in-law law Marvin Blunck, her four sons and their wives, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, as well as two nieces and three nephews whom she loved. Lavonne was preceded in death by her parents, Covell and Vivian (Ober) Musick and her husband Donald Blunck.
