LAWRENCE HAGENS Obituary

Published by Legacy from Jul. 18 to Jul. 30, 2025.
Lawrence "Larry" Hagens, age 56, entered into eternal rest with family by his side on July 12, 2025. Larry was born on July 14, 1968, the son of Ralph and Joan (Biese) Hagens. At age 17, he proudly joined the United States Navy and served as an Electronic Technician on the USS Philadelphia. He went on to earn a degree at the Wisconsin School of Electronics, ending his career at Faith Technologies. He married Kelly (Dorn) Hagens. They were together for 17 years. Kelly brought her two children, Evelina and Mitchell Krueger. Larry proudly wore the title of stepfather. Larry's idea of Sunday church was spending time in the woods-fishing, hunting, and hiking up north at the cabin. He was an avid outdoorsman. Larry knew people wherever he went. He loved to find ways to connect with people and share his knowledge with whoever was listening, especially his beloved stepchildren. Larry actively supported outdoors and veterans' organizations. Larry's close friends and family describe him as a good person all around. He is survived by his wife, Kelly; children, Eve and Mitch; his mother, Joan, and her husband, William Tim; sister, Michelle (Dan) Madden; niece and nephew, Nicholas (Taylor) Madden and Sierra (Christian) McDonald; in-laws; family; and friends. Larry is preceded in death by his father. Larry's family would like to extend a special thank you to the ThedaCare at Home Hospice care team.
