Leaman Lonnie "Lee" Talley, age 84, died Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at his home in East Prairie, MO, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 2, 1940, at Ardmore, OK, to the late William Mattison Talley and Myrtle Bea Jones Talley, he spent his younger years in Oklahoma. He then joined the United States Navy and proudly served 12 years with some of his time spent in California. He later moved to East Prairie and worked as a diesel mechanic for over 65 years. He loved time with his family especially fishing, cooking and loved to barbeque. On September 27, 1983, he married Aneta Louis Maxey, who survives of the home. Also surviving are their children, Danny (Kris) Metheny and Laura (Opie) Tatum; grandchildren, Jessica Metheny, Josh Metheny, Charles O'Dell, Travis O'Dell, Taylor McMillen, Michael Metheny and Sarah Metheny; a number of great grandchildren. Also, special sister-in-law, Linda (Bob) Wheatley and special cousin, Arlene Stepp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Billy Talley, Donnie Talley and Randy Metheny and his sisters, Wilma Talley and Jerldene Talley. A private family service will be held. McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.mcmiklefuneralhome.com
