Lee Neal age 59 of Smithville, passed away Friday morning August 22, 2025 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER. He was born December 30, 1965, to his parents the late Ray and Cora Frances Carlisle Neal, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carlus Ray Neal. Bro. Lee was a Methodist pastor for close to 19 years having pastored in Dekalb, Smith and White Counties, and currently was the pastor of Pisgah Methodist Church. He worked as Production Manager at Royal Truck Bodies and previously at Nissan. He is survived by companion, Jill Davis of Smithville; children, Cameron (Dallas) Neal, Chantell (Cody) Lorance, Callie (Clayton) Underwood; grandchildren, Stella, Taven, Cora, Caspen Lorance, Jaxson and Wyatt Underwood; siblings, Richard (Pat) Neal, Joyce (Earl) Smith, and Tommy (Cindy) Neal; special family members, Dillon (Jessica) Davis, Bryson and Butter Bean. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday August 25, 2025, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro Richard Neal officiating and interment to follow in Keltonburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday 10 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Neal family.
