Lelia Beatrice Barnes Davidson was born to the parents of Fletcher and Marie Wiley Barnes on January 7, 1944. She exited this life on Monday July 7, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Lelia was a 1963 graduate of Rosa A. Lott High School in Citronelle, Alabama. She retired with 30 years of service from Searcy Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Alabama as a Mental Health Worker III. After her retirement from Searcy, she was employed with Bayou Oaks Group Home in Satsuma, Alabama.
Lelia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Calvert, Alabama. She served as head of the Usher Board and assisted in the kitchen for special occasions.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fletcher and Marie Wiley Barnes; Siblings: Purvis, Fletcher, Charles, Vivian, Nathaniel Barnes, Rose Woodyard, Shirley Hill, Alice Radcliff, Minnie Law, and Yolanda Pickens.
Lelia leaves to cherish her memories, a loving husband Harold Melvin Davidson; two daughters; Benita Davison of Calvert, Alabama and Tamonica(Donald Jr.) James of Saraland, Alabama; four grandchildren; Jasmine Malone of Mobile, Alabama; LaRetta, Donald III and Deion James of Saraland, Alabama, two great grandson: Jace and Jaxx Westry-Malone of Mobile, Alabama: one sister: Patricia Carolyn Spencer of Eight Mile, Alabama: three brothers: Sterling(Dorothy) and Maynard Dewayne(Beverly) Barnes of Calvert, Alabama: Freddie(Brenda) Barnes of Mt. Vernon, Alabama: sister-in-law's; Mattie B. Austin, Mable Barnes, and Nellie Barnes(Devoted) of Calvert, Alabama; Brother-in-laws: William Hill Jr of McIntosh, Alabama and Larry(Tina) Pickens of Eight Mile, Alabama, one bonus daughter Rashawn English of Mobile, AL; bonus grandchildren: Aaliyah English, Caleb and Ashley Cox and Noah Gamble of Mobile, Alabama; bonus great grandchildren: Ta'Khari Nelson, Chanyce Cox and Ma'Lani Cox. A host of devoted nieces and nephews.
