Mrs. Lenora "Nora" Collins, 82, widow of Gerald Floyd "Bo" Collins, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center, Florence, South Carolina. Born on September 6, 1942, in Hyman, South Carolina, she lived a life rooted in compassion, dedication, and quiet strength. Nora was the daughter of the late Curtis and Lillie Mae Evans. She grew up in the close-knit community of Hyman, where she developed a love for nature and people. Throughout her life, she remained deeply connected to her roots and devoted herself to caring for others. Nora found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved fishing and gardening-activities that brought her peace and allowed her to connect with the world around her. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her own family; she was known for helping with the children in the community and took great pride in caring for her mother during her later years. Nora is survived by her son, Carroll Collins; her grandson, Dalton Collins; her sister, Carolyn Stone; her brother, Freeman Evans; and her great-niece, Betsy Hudson. A graveside service, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, South Carolina, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery located at 4221 Sheminally Road, Pamplico, South Carolina, 29583. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 10 am until 11 am as well as following the service in the New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church fellowship hall. Memorials in Nora's memory may be made to Morris Funeral Home, PO Box 158, Hemingway, South Carolina, 29554. Please sign the guest book at morris-funeralhome.com
