Van Buren--- Leo A. Lausier, 81, was called to his heavenly home by his late wife on June 12, 2025, at a Caribou healthcare facility. He was born June 24, 1943, in Keegan, a son of the late G. Camille and Irene (Daigle) Lausier Sr. From working in the sawmills, local farmers, cow farms, meat cutting and fixing bicycles, Leo was a jack-of-all-trades and never had an issue finding work. He was also the handyman for several years for Sleepers Grocery, Caribou. Leo loved to play music and sing. He was in several bands throughout his life, but he most enjoyed playing for his family and friends at home and many get togethers. Leo was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree Assembly, Van Buren, where he was also an avid BINGO player, and was a dedicated BINGO number caller. He is survived by four sons, Marcel Lausier and his wife Sandi, Gary Lausier and his wife Isabella, Randy Lausier, and Kevin Lausier and his wife Stephanie; eight grandchildren, James, Kelsie, Dylan, Taylor, Bonnie, Kadie, Marissa, and Brandon Lausier; four step grandchildren, Christopher Levesque, Gabriella Berube, Kolby and Maddison Davis; 17 great grandchildren; four brothers, Clifford, Reginald, Edmond, and Harold Lausier; two sisters, Claudette Pelletier and Joan Gagnon; four foster children Alfreda and Leo cared for; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Alfreda (Caron) Lausier in 2023, five brothers, Claude, Camille, Emilian, Clarence and Ronald Lausier, and six sisters, Anita Bouchard, Therese St. Pierre, Mildred Roy, Edna, Rita, and Cecile Lausier. Relatives and friends may greet the family 6-8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, ME 04785. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, Van Buren.
