Leona Tackett Obituary

Leona was born April 9, 1953, in Piketon, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clinton Gilbert Lansing and Leona Eileen Lansing. She was united in marriage to Johnny Wayne Tackett who preceded her in death on January 26, 2006.
She is survived by two children, Angie (John ) Lowman and John (Sandy) Irvin; five grandchildren, Jonathan (Mariah) Irvin, Chrissy (Steve) Fyffe, Jessica (Sean) Rhoden, Tiffany (Eric) Osborn, and Dakota (Brooklin) Lowman; fourteen great-grandchildren; five siblings, Larry Lansing, John (Lillie) Lansing, Dean (Kathy) Lansing, Roger Lansing, and Vicki (Robert) Gault.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a great-grandson, Leo Rhoden, and two siblings, Gary Lansing and Carol Tomblin.
Leona was a homemaker; she enjoyed her family and her flowers.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025 at Howe Wheeler Boyer Funeral Home in Piketon with Dean Lansing officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Peebles, Ohio.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home in Piketon.
