Leonard Okely Sharp, 93 of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
He was born on October 6, 1931 in Liberty, Kentucky to Fred E. Sharp and Pearly May (Sharp) Sharp. Leonard married Patria Ann Sharp on August 9th, 1958. She preceded him in passing in May, 2004. He is survived by two sons, Rob Sharp and Steve (Rita) Sharp and one grandson, Nicholas Sharp. He was preceded in passing by his parents, wife, Patria and two brothers, Wilford Sharp and Joe Sharp.
Leonard attended school in Liberty, Kentucky. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was employed by Arvin Industries in Franklin, retiring after forty plus years of dedicated service.
He was a member of the Franklin American Legion Post No. 205. He enjoyed spending time with friends at the Legion. Leonard also enjoyed taking care of his lawn.
A Celebration of Leonard's life will be held on Thursday, July 10th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with Visitation on Thursday, July 10th from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
