He was born on January 31, 1936, in the Dominican Republic, to the late Leoncio Sanchez and Maria Josefa Sanchez.
Leoncio was a compassionate man who was soft-hearted, yet tough, compassionate, optimistic, and gave good advice to his family and friends. He was a man of many talents, who always stayed busy. He loved to cook and feed animals.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Doles Maria Brito de Sanchez, five children, one stepson, many grandchildren, and numerous brothers and sisters.
"Everything will be fine" Regardless of the circumstance in which he was, he always assured that everything would be fine.
Visitation will be held at Harrington Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 11:00-1:00pm, with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00 pm.
Burial will be at Northam Cemetery in Rockingham.
Harrington Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the Sanchez family.

Leoncio Sánchez, de 89 años, de Rockingham, falleció pacíficamente en su casa, rodeado de su familia, el miércoles 16 de julio de 2025.
Nació el 31 de Enero de 1936, en la República Domicana, hijo de los difuntos Leoncio Sánchez y María Josefa Sánchez.
Leoncio era un hombre compasivo que era de buen corazón, compasivo, optimista y daba buenos consejos a su familia y amigos. Era un hombre de muchos talentos, que siempre se mantenía ocupado. Le encantaba cocinar y alimentar a los animales.
"Todo va a estar bien" Sin importar la circunstancia en la que el se encontraba siempre aseguraba que todo estaría bien.
Quedan para apreciar sus recuerdos su esposa, Doles Brito de Sánchez, cinco hijos, un hijastro. Muchos nietos y numerosos hermanos y hermanas.
La visita se llevará acabo en la funeraria Harrington en Hamlet el lunes 21 de Julio de 2025, de 11:00am a 1:00pm, con el servicio funerario inmediatamente a la 1:00pm.
El entierro será en el cementerio Northam en Rockingham, NC.
