Leora Adams Obituary

Leora Mae Adams, 87, of Levelland, Texas, formally of Littlefield, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in Levelland, Texas. She was born on August 14, 1937, in Deridder, Louisiana to Garland and Ruth Prather. She married Kenneth Adams in September 1964. Leora was a homemaker. She liked to garden and crochet. She was a talented seamstress. She was a sweet lady who loved her family and cherished the time that she got to spend with them. She was lovingly known as "Mamaw Mae" to her grandchildren. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, William Pierce of Gladewater, Texas; two daughters, Billie Green of Levelland, Texas, and Regina Boleyn of Clovis, New Mexico; a brother, Bill Prather of Iberia, Louisiana; twenty-three grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Adams; a son, Garland Pierce; three daughters, Elizabeth Polk, Carolyn Stegall, and Diann Cockrell; and her parents, Garland and Ruth Prather. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Littlefield Cemetery with Pastor Tracy Spencer officiating. Pallbearers will be RyuKyu "Bubba" Boleyn, Zachary Hernandez, Jeramiah Hernandez, Paul Burgio, Enrique "Jr." Hernandez, and Adianna Hernandez. A visitation will be held Thursday July 31, 2025, from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home.
