LeRoyce "Lee" Peterson Obituary

LeRoyce (Lee) Peterson , age 86, of Paoli, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 16, 2026, at Paoli Health & Living. She was born on May 7, 1939, in Marshall, Minnesota, to Melvin Istas and Nonie Avery Istas. She married Robert G. Peterson on September 3, 1960. Together, they celebrate 65 years of marriage, and he survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Priscilla Wagner.

Lee was formerly employed at Old National Bank, Hoosier Hills Credit Union, and the Orange County Purdue Extension office. She enjoyed homemaking, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and crafting. She made charitable items to sell in support of Riley Children's Hospital and The Wounded Warrior Project.

She was raised in the Catholic church, and she and her husband, Bob, attended Methodist churches earlier in life.

Son: Eric Robert (Sandee) Peterson Colorado Springs, Colorado

Daughter: Erin Leigh (Doug) Kingery Paoli, Indiana

Sister: Rosalind Kattke

Granddaughters: Sarah, Tara, and Kerin

Grandson: Kelly

Great-grandchildren: Everleigh, Ryley, and Liliana.

Cremation was chosen.
