Terri, your father was an amazing individual. I was honored to get to know him during the construction of the home Our bonding over "1/16th inch grade of concrete was a discussion I will treasure. He was supportive of endeavors, became a treasured member of my campaign team and I could always count on a smile form both he and your mom. I think of the two of them often. My heart goes out to you and your brother, I know how deep the family connection between you and your dad. May you treasure the memories and smile when you do

These were such beautiful words for such a wonderful person whom I had the absolute privilege to care for. Your momma and papa, a couple so beautiful and in love. I remember they would always have to see each other before bed and say their good nights, the words he would say to her were filled with such love that I would cry after hearing him. I thank your family so much for letting me take care of such precious souls, I know I´ll miss them forever.

I didn't know your dad or your family, but your memory of him makes me wish I had. What a lovely, loving tribute. While I'm sorry for your loss, you have the wonderful gift of vivid and happy memories. Surely you will treasure those forever.

This is a truly wonderful obituary. I did not know your father but am sure he would be delighted to have been remembered and honored like this. Thank you for sharing his and your story.

This "story" is why I picked up my mom´s habit of reading the obituaries every day. I don´t know your dad or your family, but you´ve certainly done a lovely job of writing his mini-biography. That wonderful life is made even better by this: you really appreciated it. I hope the IHOP gathering is a great celebration of your parents´ lives!

Never met your dad, but felt yours---and the world's---loss after reading your beautiful tribute in today's Baltimore Sun. He led a remarkable life by your account, especially as your dad. I, too, had a father who was mentor and nurturer to my brothers and me. He didn't discover a cure for a prolific cancer, but he did raise us with great love, dying at age 93. I think Dr. Costello and my dad would have liked each other. I always put money in the Salvation Army buckets. This year, I'll do it for your father. . .

Great memories at the MilkBar with your mom and dad.
They were the perfect pair. Ann was the voice of reason and Lefty was the observant genius.
Still can see them on their wedding day.
So sorry for your great loss of both wonderful people.
