Lewis was born January 30, 1950, in Flint, to the late James and Emmogene (Barlow) Doyle. He attended Clio Community Schools and honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, Lewis worked at General Motors for over 30 years and later worked at VGs in Genesee for 15 years. He was a member of The Rock Church in Fenton. Lewis enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, gardening, and keeping up with his landscaping at home. He was a kindhearted, gentle man who loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and making cherished memories over the years. Lewis was always there when you needed him, and even when you thought you didn't. He was a special man, a wonderful father, Papa, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed by all. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Residential Home Health and Hospice, especially Monica, Alicia, and Christina, for their care, compassion, love, and support during Lewis' final days.
