Lewis Tooms, 85, of Cumberland Ohio passed away on Sunday June 8, 2025. He was born on October 16th, 1939, to the late Dorothy Shook. Lewis was blessed to be raised by his Grandparents Carl & Mary (Winnie) Shook on the family farm in Blue Rock, Ohio. He grew up with a long-time friend and his very special "Uncle Dee" Shook.
On February 7th, 1964, Lewis married the love of his life the late Carol (Frisbee) Tooms. They worked hard together to build their own family farm (Tooms Farms) in Cumberland.
They raised four children on this farm, Carl Tooms (Kacy), Lou Tooms (Danny), Dee and Russ Wiseman; Bert and Amy Tooms. He is survived by his grandchildren Chelsie Tooms (Richard), Austin Wiseman (Maddie), Abbie and Colten Porter, Chris Tooms (Halle) and a very special great granddaughter, Harper Porter. Lewis also leaves behind two special cousins in his life, Ronald and Jay Shook, a very special friend Bethann Stine and his companion Bud.
Lewis worked at the Ohio Ferro Alloy and was a member of Teamsters Local #637 working pipeline until his retirement. He loved to farm, showing cattle and a good tractor pull where he made a lot of friends over the years.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to welcome everyone to a celebration of life on Sunday June 22nd at 4:00 pm at the Tooms Family Farm at 3750 Tooms Rd. Cumberland Ohio 43732
