Lewis Albert "Bud" Wells, 90, of Arcadia, Florida, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Bud was born on December 16, 1934, in Chillicothe, Ohio to Clyde Lewis Wells and Ressie Edna (Coy) Wells. Bud moved to Arcadia in 1960.
When Bud arrived in Arcadia, he did not let the dust settle under his feet. He immediately went to work becoming a well-respected entrepreneur. His first business was Bud's Shamrock gas station. Bud went on to open a second gas station and Shamrock Minute Market convenience store. Other businesses he owned included Well Clean Used Cars, Shamrock Pawn Shop and Shamrock Cleaning Service. On top of being a successful businessman, he also drove a school bus and was a volunteer fireman. Bud's passion was being a private pilot, and he loved to share that experience with his children and grandchildren. He owned many planes over the years, and in his prime, he was well known in the local aviation community. Bud loved his family and loved to cook. His home was always welcoming \where he would host family gathering for a delicious meal.
He is survived by his daughters, Joy Daniels (Barry), Tami Hunt (Phil) and son, Lewis Wells II (Valerie); his brother Tim Wells of Kentucky: six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Bud is preceded in death by his mother, Ressie E. Park; his father Clyde Lewis Wells; his daughter Kathy J. Wells; his brother, Donald Wells (Patricia) and his sisters, Connie Douglas and Cherie Lallier.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church 48 N. 15th Avenue, Arcadia, Florida, 34266.
